Revival Counseling Center Day Treatment Program
Revival Counseling Center’s Day Treatment Program uses an interdisciplinary approach to address the personal and social needs of each client. This program capitalizes on both in-house resources and/or referrals to outside agencies and providers. The goal of the Day Treatment Program is to consistently provide services that respect the cultural diversity of all persons served. The services provided are intended to:
- Support recovery and stabilization of clients
- Enhance their quality of life by restoring and/or improving functioning on several levels
- Reduce or eliminate the symptoms associated with drug and alcohol misuse
- Support the integration or reintegration of clients into their local communities
On a more personal level, the Day Treatment Program services are intended to help clients develop enhanced self-esteem, self-confidence, self-responsibility, and honesty.
Included Treatment Options
The majority of the Day Treatment Program’s hours consist of scheduled treatment services that include at least three of the following:
- Individual counseling/therapy
- Family counseling/therapy
- Group counseling/therapy
- Educational activities including at least one of the following:
- Alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs
- Medication
- Psychoeducation
- Occupational therapy
- Other therapy as appropriate
Group sessions include: Communication Skills, family group (with or without family members present), smoking cessation, spirituality, biological aspects of addiction, attitudes and beliefs, 12 step education, sponsorship, relapse prevention, recovery education and planning, work readiness, life skills, physical wellness, identifying and coping with negative emotions, family/social interaction, anger management, and resiliency. Family participation is encouraged, but not a required portion for treatment.
